Ireland’s Education System
In the last decade, Ireland has become one of the fastest growing economies in the world with education at the forefront of this advancement. With a well-planned, clever mix of affable but rational innovation, Irish universities and institutions. They now lead the world in a number of fields like natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities, making Ireland a lucrative destination for International students.
Students between the age of 5-10 years attend Primary school.
The Irish Education System can be broadly classified into 3 basic levels:
- Primary education takes 8 years to complete
- Secondary education takes 5-6 years to complete.
- Higher education up to the Post Graduate degree level- The third level education i.e. the Higher education post-secondary level offers a wide range of options. Apart from private colleges, all other institutes though independent are substantially funded by the state. In totality Ireland has;
